Responsibilities of Research and Development Manager Oversee the entire development process of new in-house products, following the stage gate process from ideation to launch. Innovate and conceptualize new product designs to ensure our offerings remain competitive. Lead efforts to enhance the performance and features of existing products, ensuring they meet or exceed market expectations. Manage and lead a team of R&D Electronic Development and Software Engineers. This includes setting and monitoring objectives, conducting annual reviews, and ensuring effective day-to-day people management. Ensure the R&D team remains fully motivated, committed, and high-performing. Foster a reliable and collaborative team environment. Take responsibility for department recruitment, training, and other line management responsibilities to build a skilled and capable team. Be responsible for the successful handover of all deliverables needed to launch new products, including design verification, bills of materials, manufacturing build and test procedures, and staff training. manage new product developments, overseeing labour resources, time, and material budgets.

Requirements of Research and Development Manager Practical experience with electronic assemblies, firmware, and software. Strong knowledge and hands-on expertise in electronic system design and development. Proven ability to oversee multifaceted projects, ensuring successful completion within scope, time, and budget constraints. Track record of effectively supervising, managing, and mentoring engineering teams. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a relevant engineering development role. Expertise in electronic assembly design and troubleshooting. Proficiency in firmware and software development for engineering applications A degree in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred.
