Our Client is a market leading innovative Distributor of speciality ingredients and flavours for the food, nutrition, supplement and medical nutrition markets in the UK.
Our Client is looking for a dynamic and driven
Technical Sales Manager
to join their team. If you are passionate about
flavours, food ingredients, and the food and beverage industry , this is a fantastic opportunity for you. The position offers flexibility in terms of location within the UK.
Our Client will also consider candidates for this position who are currently working in a technical / NPD role as a Flavour or Beverage Technologist and who have a desire to move into a commercial role.
Job Purpose
Our Client is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to continue a double-digit growth trajectory
Lead sales efforts in the Beverage markets, focusing on flavours and flavour technologies, plant proteins and functional ingredients.
The supplier portfolio is rich and growth opportunities are substantial.
Activities of the technical sales team are supported by dedicated food technicians showcasing supplier technologies and converting customer innovation projects into retail ready formats in an innovation led manufacturing facility
Key Responsibilities
Achieve quarterly and annual sales budgets for a range of defined food ingredients and flavours
Achieve beneficial customer relationships by making frequent customer visits and achieving service levels that demonstrate company values
Add sales information to Customer Relationship Management software
Develop key markets through defined strategies
Qualifications and Experience
Educated to BSc level or equivalent in a relevant technical / scientific discipline or equivalent industrial experience
Seasoned technical salesperson conversant in and knowledgeable of the Food and Beverage industry, with a focus on flavours and food ingredientscompanies and customers
OR Our Client will also consider candidates for this position who are currently working in a technical / NPD role as a Flavour Technologist and who have a desire to move into a commercial role
Proven experience in technical or NPD roles
Experience of launching products
understanding the challenges
Experience of taking suppliers onboard from zero and building a sustainable business
Adherence to processes and procedures and using a CRM
Able to fulfil customer purchasing requirement
Excellent communicator at all levels
Determination, energy, tenacity, enthusiasm, loyalty

In return, our Client is offering a package including a competitive basic salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (salary is negotiable and dependent on experience) plus benefits which include an expensed company car, five weeks holiday, pension, healthcare and a generous bonus scheme
