Job Title: Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Location: West Midlands

Our client, a leading provider of automation and control solutions, is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to oversee the delivery of detailed electrical design work packages. Reporting to the Director of Engineering and Innovation, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities:
Lead, engage, and coach a small team of Electrical Engineers and Hardware Design Engineers.
Collaborate with Business Development and Applications teams to develop robust estimation norms and provide pre-sale technical support.
Work with Project Managers to ensure solid delivery plans for all Electrical Engineering and Hardware Design work packages.
Efficiently allocate and utilize Electrical Engineering and Hardware Design resources.
Develop and maintain Electrical Design processes and procedures, ensuring compliance.
Maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships to ensure resource availability.
Create and improve internal standards, templates, and best practices.
Collaborate with Manufacturing management to align processes and standards.
Recruit, train, and develop Electrical Engineering and Hardware Design Engineers.
Monitor team output and audit work quality to ensure compliance and innovation.
Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:
BEng in Electrical Engineering.
Subject Matter Expert in electrical control systems.
Strong team player with initiative, excellent communication skills, and situational adaptability.
Proactive, organised, and hands-on problem solver.
Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to excellence.
