Job description

Purpose and Objectives of the Job: As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the effective leadership of our fostering service, ensuring it operates in accordance with National Minimum Standards for Fostering and relevant legislation. Your primary objective will be to deliver the highest quality service to both Foster Carers and the children in our care. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Assume the role of Registered Manager, preparing for Inspections and implementing action plans as required. Ensure staff adherence to agency policies, procedures, and regulatory responsibilities. Take strategic and operational leadership in the development, support, training, and retention of Foster Carers. Oversee decision-making processes, safeguarding, referrals, assessments, and work allocation in line with statutory requirements. Develop strong communication and support mechanisms with Foster Carers, incorporating their feedback into service development. Lead audits and quality assurance processes, emphasizing clear reporting, service planning, and risk management. Foster positive relationships with stakeholders and local authorities, representing the agency in meetings and negotiations. Chair effective team meetings and provide regular supervision and appraisals to staff members. Actively monitor outcomes for children and young people, identifying areas for improvement and implementing development plans. Promote a culture of innovation and achievement, supporting staff development and compliance with regulations. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and statutory standards. Be flexible with working hours and location as required to meet service demands. Criteria: Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent

(Essential) Registration as a Social Worker with Social Work England - (Essential) Level 5 - Leadership and Management

(Desirable) Extensive post-qualification experience in Social Care, particularly within the fostering sector. Management experience within an Independent Fostering Agency, including leading services through regulatory inspections. Understanding of relevant legislation, safeguarding policies, and National Minimum Standards. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and budget management skills.
