What we are looking for We are looking for a confident, flexible and highly motivated individual to join our busy Finance Transactions and Systems Team, who shares our values and commitment to make a difference for our residents, businesses and communities. About the role The Finance Team supports both Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils by providing accurate and timely financial advice to enable delivery of the joint strategic plan outcomes. This role will have responsibility for the correct allocation of the councils\' income. You will perform daily/weekly/monthly reconciliations of all income streams and will have ownership of a set of reconciliations essential for Section 151 reporting. This will include the investigation and allocation of suspense items and transfer of balances between the councils, along with month-end routines and query resolution. You will also be required to work closely with colleagues across other service areas to support and facilitate data handling with accuracy, ensuring the data remains confidential and secure. About you You will be educated to NVQ 3/A level standard or have gained equivalent knowledge through experience, ideally within a financial environment. You will be able to demonstrate: keen analytical skills the ability to interpret financial information confidence in using your own initiative a willingness to support other members of the team. Due to the fast-paced nature of this role, attention to detail is essential, alongside excellent organisational, communication and IT skills.
