Senior Development Engineer - Engine in London

Job description

Due to growth and incoming work my client is looking to add a senior member to its engineering team within the development side of things. In this role you'll be taking responsibility for delivering engine and vehicle projects. Currently my client has a couple of large automotive projects and an order book that looks healthy for the next 10 years. To be a success in this position you must be coming from a really strong gasoline engine and vehicle development background. You will be working on various projects so must have some project management experience as you'll be responsible for managing your own schedule. You will be supporting and carrying out testing activities on engine dynos. You'll ideally also be educated to a degree standard within engineering. This is an senior role so you'll be tasked with mentoring junior members of staff and helping with graduates/apprentices where required. The role will predominantly be based on my client site in Northamptonshire but visits to sites around the UK would also be required when needed. Some overseas travel may be required at times but this wouldn't be a on a regular basis. You couldn't be joining this business at a better time, the order book has never been stronger and has some really interesting projects ongoing/in the pipeline. You'll be working for a global technology business who are leading the way in its field working on projects within the automotive, motorsport, marine and aerospace industries. You'll be working on a 39 hour week, Monday to Friday with a slightly earlier finish on Fridays.
