Job Description: MUST HAVE ENGINEERING BACKGROUND - Ideally Defence/Naval preferred. We are seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to join our UK Project Delivery Team. You will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of projects allocated to you with an emphasis on planning, allocation of tasks and monitoring performance of the engineering team working on these projects. The successful applicant will work within our innovative project teams to develop and deliver our Navigation and Bridge Systems as well as our Maritime Surveillance Systems. The successful candidate will require excellent communication skills and be an effective problem solver able to work under their own initiative as a prominent member of the team.

Responsibilities: Manage project engineering activity to support delivery of outputs in accordance with the project plan and UK/AUS Engineering Process Creation and managing of project engineering schedules at the EPIC level in accordance with the budgeted Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Collation of work packages breakdown defined by project engineering team members and subject matter experts to define project backlog of tasks with sufficient detail. Coordination and tracking of engineering activities and reporting status including progress, issues, risk and opportunities. Collation and Management of Project Metrics including Schedule adhesion, cost and Quality adhesion. Maintain Configuration control of project documentation and deliverables in collaboration with project Configuration Manager Review Project progress and metrics with both internal Management Team and Customer representatives.

Experience: Project Management within an Engineering environment including Software Development, System Design and Build and Change Management System & Software development processes and procedures Excellent Communication skills with ability to explain and justify intended approaches to project work Ability to collaborate with the wider team and accept input from team members and stakeholders

Desirable Skills: Project Management within an Engineering environment including Software Development, System Design and Build and Change Management Risk and Opportunity Management, including planning, controlling and reporting. Understanding of System & Software development processes and procedures Excellent Communication skills with ability to explain and justify intended approaches to project work Ability to collaborate with the wider team and accept input from team members and stakeholders

Education Degree in Engineering, project management or related technical field and/or relevant industry experience. Project Management Qualification such as APM, PRINCE2 or PMI

The successful candidate will be subject to SC clearance.
