Our contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) service acts as an extension of our clients' recruitment team and provides professional interim and temporary resources. We partner with Arup to support contingent recruitment processes. On behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a 6 month contract based in Cardiff. Candidate Profile: Key accountabilities, skills & experience About the Opportunity: We are seeking senior/principal mechanical engineer to help lead and/or manage a diverse range of projects, flood and coastal risk management, waste and clean water infrastructure and non-infrastructure assets as well as energy, within our major client portfolios. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about technical excellence and providing an outstanding service to our clients.

In this role you will: Technically lead and/or manage projects to suit your individual skill set and preferred development needs, allowing you the opportunity to learn and grow your career. You will also help with the management of the mechanical team within the west covering resourcing and well-being.

Essential Skills and Qualifications: A relevant degree and Chartered Engineer status. Demonstrable experience of delivering high quality mechanical engineering solutions in the UK water and/or energy sectors. An ability to build, maintain and manage strong, long-term relationships within Arup and with our clients and stakeholders. Experience of successfully leading teams and managing multi-disciplinary projects to ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines and budgets. A desire and ability to share knowledge and proactively mentor and manage teams and individuals.
