9 Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover) The Environmental Sustainability team at Stonewater are now seeking a Decarbonisation Manager

someone to lead the delivery of retrofit programmes and energy improvement works, ensuring Stonewater remain on track to meet long term energy efficiency objectives for homes. The role will have line management responsibility for four Retrofit Managers and a Sustainability Project Officer who will support the delivery of the retrofit programme. Ensuring the retrofit process is compliant with PAS 2035 and all relevant legislation, you will monitor performance of grant funded programmes, preparing monitoring reports and ensuring compliance with funding agreements. You will also be responsible for preparing project briefs, descriptions of work and specifications to enable the procurement of sustainability projects, and for engaging with Homes colleagues to upskill and ensure retrofit best practice is followed on all projects. The ideal candidate will: Have experience of an Energy/Sustainability role, preferably within the Housing sector (or similar) Have comprehensive knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and regulation. Have experience of leading large scale retrofit programmes in compliance with PAS 2030 and 2035. Have an understanding of the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) and the rules and reporting requirements of the scheme. Have experience of delivering grant funded programmes of work, including monitoring and reporting to funding partners. Have experience of managing multiple supply chain stakeholders, including contractors, designers and consultants. Have extensive knowledge of the CDM, Asbestos awareness and all other regulations relevant to the delivery of retrofit works. Have comprehensive knowledge of the opportunities for CO2 reduction and energy efficiency improvements in the residential property. Have knowledge of SAP and RdSAP. Have excellent contract management skills and knowledge of procurement. Be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, consultants, contractors and customers. Be able to manage a range of activities with autonomy; prioritising workload, agreeing targets and meeting deadlines. Candidates who hold or are working towards a Level 4 or above Retrofit qualification are desirable, however this is not essential. Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, satisfactory references and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
