Job description: WHAT TO EXPECT The role would be as a Launch Lead Engineer based in our state-of-the-art Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC) in Wolverhampton. The Engineer would be responsible to support all launch activities that will take place in EPMC across multiple platforms. The role will require to guide and assist teams to support cross functional launch approach to resolve any issues using or developing robust toolsets and problem-solving techniques. This is a key role that has cross functional interfaces, which will play a pivotal part in ensuring all key launch metrics and deliverables for the plant are met. This will be an intense period of activity for EPMC and is an exciting opportunity to be Proud Creators of Modern Luxury. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Be disciplined in cadence attendance and promote professional attitudes through creators code behaviours. Operate as an AGILE lead for plant launch, engage the wider teams to collectively work together. Manage, guide and assist teams to support cross functional launch approach to resolve any issues using or developing robust toolsets and problem-solving techniques. Track Quality performance via each build phase to show success and actively drive the teams to achieve target level agreements. Coaching the Launch Engineers within the team. Ensure Customer feedback is recognised as a drive for making the correct decisions for the teams in AGILE. Ensure robust standards for Jaguar Land Rover programmes are applied. Drive clear communication with senior Launch Lead and ensure evidence of escalation items have followed a robust process. Contribute to the development of the plant launch operating system for the new model introduction. Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested. Supports Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision. WHAT YOU'LL NEED Essential: Preferred degree qualified in relevant engineering subject. Demonstrates our Creators' Code behaviours of Customer Love, Unity, Integrity, Growth and Impact. Relevant OR previous experience of Launch in Manufacturing; working knowledge of quality tools and processes. An individual, who works independently, is results driven, demonstrating tenacity, drive and perseverance with the ability to deliver operational plans in a complex, highly demanding environment. Embracing differences, being empathetic, welcoming challenges together empowering each other to deliver. Strong people skills and the ability to work individually and in a cross functional team. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience of meeting deadlines. Experienced in Manufacturing process. Working Knowledge of Problem Resolution Techniques e.g. 8D, Ishikawa. Microsoft package elements (Power Point & Excel)
