Job description
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide technical support to Operations Delivery Manager (Alt HAN) and the Alt HAN team
To monitor the various sub-contractor processes from survey, design to rectification
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide technical support to the Alt HAN team utilising all mediums of communication
Support the business in meeting its compliance requirements e.g., Alt HAN, BS7671, MOCOP, ECA, EUSR
Assist with writing site specific RAMS to cover Alt HAN rectification work
Assist in creating site specific Alt HAN typology quotations
Liaise with Alt HAN sub-contractors and forge a strong professional relationships
Quality check sub-contractor work throughout the full end to end Alt HAN life cycle, such as but not limited to:
Check sufficient written information and detail is returned from the surveying contractors
Check the quality of the photographs and design sketches returned for the surveying contractors are fit for purpose
Check the design brief and CAD drawings are correct and Alt HAN guidelines
Check the electrical design and solution conforms to BS7671 electrical installation regulations
Attend site to perform as built quality checks, including adhoc WIP quality checks on contractors
Confirm the actual electrical rectification work conforms to BS7671 electrical installation regulations
Produce rectification sign off certificates and completion documents in line with Alt HAN guidelines
Technical Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
Knowledge of the Alt HAN project
Experience or demo knowledge of CMRs
BS7671 qualified metering engineer, ideally time served electrician
C&G 2330 qualification or equivalent. Equivalent experience in the metering industry considered.
Knowledge of health and safety, and quality management systems
Proven previous experience within the UK metering industry, in particular complex installations
Experience of electrical installation work
18th Edition would be very welcome
Strong, clear communication skills
Able to communicate at varying organizational levels
Able to work in a complex environment with conflicting demands and to make clear and consistent decisions
Able to work in environments that require adherence to stringent safety rules
Able to work under own initiative
Mobile, able to travel long distances and work away from home as required
