Heartfelt Technologies Ltd is looking for an Scientific Operations Associate in Cambridge

Job description

About Heartfelt Technologies

Heartfelt Technologies is a medical device startup focused on improving patient care through innovative technologies. Our mission is to enhance patient monitoring at home using cutting-edge AI-powered medical devices that provide critical data for patients with heart failure. Our innovative device continuously tracks the foot volume of heart failure patients, providing invaluable data for medical professionals to help avoid unnecessary hospital re-admissions. As we expand to large-scale clinical trials, we are looking for an exceptional Founders Associate to join our collaborative team.

We are a small, mission-driven team of scientists, engineers, clinicians, and operational problem-solvers. We value clarity, curiosity, and compassion. We value proactive team members, idea sharing, and we celebrate initiative.

About the Role

This is a dynamic, hands-on role ideal for someone with startup experience who’s excited to jump into the heart of the business. From project coordination to inbox management and grant reporting, you will help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes — and often across multiple time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the CSO with day-to-day email and task management
  • Lead and support project work across clinical, operational, and strategic areas
  • Own grant-related reporting: compiling presentations, updating risk registers, managing timesheets
  • Provide cross-functional support on time-sensitive priorities and executive-led projects
  • Coordinate with external partners and respond to real-time operational needs as they arise
  • Assist Directors with ad hoc initiatives and execution support
  • Act as a key point of coordination across teams working in both the UK and US

  • What We are Looking For

    • Proven experience in fast-paced environments — ideally a startup
    • A genuine interest in project and operational management
    • Highly organised with strong communication skills
    • A degree or similar in a scientific subject
    • Comfortable juggling tasks across multiple time zones and stakeholders
    • Quick to pick up new systems, with a flexible, no-job-too-small mindset
    • Confident with tools like Google Workspace, Asana and PowerPoint

  • What We Offer

    • Competitive salary
    • 25 days’ holiday
    • On-site parking and easy access to central Cambridge
    • The opportunity to work on life-changing medical technology with an award-winning team.
    • A collaborative and innovative work environment with growth opportunities.
