Job description
Our client is a well-established fine art logistics company known for their meticulous handling, transportation, and installation of fine art and antiques. They are seeking an experienced Logistics & Shipping Coordinator / Team Leader to oversee their specialised logistics operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant movement of high-value, delicate items.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments of fine art, working closely with specialist art handlers, carriers, freight forwarders, and customs agents.
- Ensure safe packaging, handling, and transportation of artworks, adhering to industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate stock records, coordinate with storage facilities, and ensure secure storage of high-value items.
- Prepare and manage detailed shipping documentation (invoices, condition reports, packing lists, customs documentation) ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of care and security.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies within all logistics activities.
- Serve as the main point of contact for logistics queries, providing clear and timely updates to internal teams and clients.
Requirements:
- Experience in logistics or shipping coordination, ideally within the fine art, luxury goods, or high-value logistics sector.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, including international shipping, customs procedures, and fine art handling.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Relevant qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or fine art handling are advantageous.
