Job description
Our client is a rapidly evolving, British, PE Backed Engineering and Technology / SaaS business that is beginning to expand internationally. The owners have appointed a visionary CFO who is now evaluating his future finance organisation that will be key to the realisation of this growth agenda. The CFO is seeking an immediately starting FP&A Manager in a 6 months contract capacity to support this transformation agenda.
You will lead the annual strategic financial planning process developing a close partnership with the Exec Co to deliver improved cashflow forecasting, working capital as well as building a commercial finance partnering capability to evaluate existing contracts as well as supporting across new business tenders. Whilst the core of this role will be focused on the development of a company-wide FP&A process; the Management team will also heavily lean on this individual to providing modelling and analysis support across potential M&A processes.
Your remit will include:
- Building out and developing strategic and financial planning processes whilst delivering insightful, high quality analysis and commentary to the Group Board
- Development of close relationships with all areas of the business (including finance teams based in European BU's and non-finance colleagues), ensuring that you have attained a sound understanding of the commercial environment, business drivers and financial performance of all brands, channels and customers
- Leading on a variety of operational projects across the UK business including route-to-market assessments, business restructuring, marketing & pricing evaluations, acquisition evaluations, operational efficiencies and capital investment appraisals
The ideal candidate will possess :
- A minimum of 7 years relevant experience with at least 2-3 of these operating at a mid-senior level within an FP&A function.
- Experience of devising and developing a company planning and analysis capability - ideally within a rapidly scaling Tech or Services business.
A willingness to get their hands dirty and an ability to work in an environment where systems and MI are not currently world-class.
