Job Opportunity: Assistant Accountant

Location: Driffield

Full-time | Permanent

Elevation Recruitment Group are partnered with a growing business who are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their finance team in Driffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their accounting career in a supportive environment, working closely with a knowledgeable Finance Manager and gaining hands-on experience in core month-end processes.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting with month-end close, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating discrepancies
• Supporting the production of management accounts and financial reports
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Liaising with internal departments to ensure accurate financial data
• Supporting ad hoc finance projects and audits as required

✅ What we’re looking for:

• Experience in a similar finance role (e.g. Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant)
• AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA (preferred but not essential)
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software
• A keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
