Reports to: EHS Director Europe


We’re looking for a strategic and detail-oriented EHS Coordinator & Program Lead to drive corporate environmental, health, and safety (EHS) strategy across AESC Europe. This high-impact role will focus on EHS KPI tracking, continuous improvement, compliance, training, and program leadership, ensuring best-in-class environmental and safety practices.

You will play a key leadership role, driving EHS initiatives in the region, and ensuring operational excellence through effective project and program management.


Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Performance Reporting

  • Define, track, and monitor success metrics, ensuring clarity on key program objectives.
  • Own and facilitate operating rhythms for EHS initiatives, keeping teams on task, target, and timeline.
  • Ensure effective cross-functional communication, managing project schedules, budgets, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Analyze and report on overall program health, providing detailed insights on KPIs and project effectiveness.
  • Keep management informed of key changes, challenges, and areas where additional support is needed.

EHS Strategy & Compliance

  • Support with developing, implementing, and drive EHS corporate strategy, ensuring alignment with regulatory and business objectives.
  • Facilitate, lead, and measure EHS KPI’s, ensuring continual improvement across global teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative requirements, industry best practices, and corporate environmental policies.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance through regular audits, inspections, and program tracking.

Program Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Design and facilitate organizational EHS improvements, helping teams implement change initiatives that drive safety culture.
  • Identify EHS best practices, providing lessons learned and recommendations for improvement across departments.
  • Develop and maintain policies & procedures on key risk control systems.
  • Ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions from audits and investigations.

Training & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support EHS training programs, ensuring strategic alignment with business needs.
  • Support delivery of toolbox talks, engaging employees on key EHS topics and responsibilities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating and managing cross-functional EHS programs and projects.
  • Support management in engaging employees on health, safety, and environmental matters, fostering a safety-first culture.



Qualifications & Experience


To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Business Management, Organizational Development, etc.).
  • Experience in program or project management, with a focus on EHS compliance and improvement strategies.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Strong expertise in defining program requirements and using data and metrics to track performance and improvements.
  • Proven ability to engage with regional and global teams, ensuring alignment with corporate safety objectives.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with process safety, asset integrity, audits, and inspections in hazardous industries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software, and compliance tracking tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification or project management expertise in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Master’s Degree or MBA, with a focus on business operations or organizational strategy.
  • Experience liaising with regulators and steering EHS regulations at a policy level.
  • Health & Safety Management experience, with exposure to upper-tier COMAH regulatory standards.
