Job description

GCP Technical Lead will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of GCP-based solutions. This position requires a highly skilled individual with expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure management, and application development using Google Cloud technologies. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient cloud solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of GCP-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross function teams to define cloud architecture and infrastructure requirements.
  • Ensure best practices in cloud security, compliance, and governance.
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of GCP deployments.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure and automation using tools such as Terraform and Kubernetes.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Stay updated with the latest GCP features and advancements to leverage new technologies.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
  • Document technical designs, procedures, and processes.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering.
  • Proven experience in GCP product / technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, design and implement solutions to complex business requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and governance.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Previous experience working on large App / Data migrations engagements.


Cloud Platforms and Technology Experience

Core Skills:

  • GCP Foundation - VPC, Networking, Routing, Org Policies, IAM, Storage, Compute
  • G Cloud CLI, VPC, IAM, GCE, GCS, GKE, Pub Sub, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Big Query, Dataflow, Bigtable, Fire store
  • GCP – Networking, Security tool / Best Practices
  • Observability - Operations suite, Logging, Monitoring, Alerting.


Additional Skills:

  • Good understanding of Linux OS.
  • Bash, Scripting, Automation, Ansible, Networking, Security.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps Principles and Tools.
  • Hands-on with Terraform, Packer, Git, GitHub, Gitlab, Jira & Confluence.
  • Containerisation / Virtualisation - Docker / Podman.
  • Kubernetes - In-depth experience to Install, configure, monitor cluster.
  • Hands-on with Kubectl cli, Helm, Nginx Ingress, Istio
  • CI/CD - GitHub Actions, Gitlab CI, Jenkins
  • Networking - TCP, UDP, IP, HTTP(S), Firewalls, DNS
  • Security - Encryption, SSL, TLS, HTTPS, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, JWT
  • Languages - Python / Node.js / Golang
  • Development – REST API / Microservices


Desirable Skills:

  • Multi-Cloud Knowledge/Experience - Azure / AWS.
  • AI / ML – Vertex AI.
  • Engagement with major blue-chip clients / financial organisations


Certification

  • GCP Professional Certification – Associate Engineer, Data, DevOps, Developer.
