Commercial property Associate 2-3 PQE – Top Legal 500 Firm | Hybrid Working

London | £60,000–£95,000 (as guide, competitive/depending on experience)

Our client is a leading dynamic London firm with an outstanding reputation for property work. Their award-winning team are ranked in Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 and now seeks a confident and experienced commercial property associate (2-3+ PQE) to join them. The Role:

The successful candidate will be working on a broad range of commercial property matters, including landlord and tenant and asset management matters, development projects, investment sales and purchases, and the real estate aspects of property finance for both borrowers and lenders. Clients will include a wide range of private investors and developers, family offices, urban estates, financial institutions and occupiers.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include drafting and negotiating documents, assisting Partners on larger transactions and projects (including title and lease reporting), as well as planning and running your own transactions and advising on general landlord and tenant matters.

The successful candidate will be expected to assist Partners with business development initiatives and proactively begin to build their own professional network.


Skills and experience


  • Excellent academics and a minimum 2.1 or equivalent
  • Technically able and self-motivated commercial Property Lawyer - 2 to 3 years PQE
  • Must have qualified into a commercial property team and have solid experience in commercial landlord and tenant and asset management work
  • Experience of assisting on large-scale development projects and some grounding in investment sales and purchases would be an advantage
  • Experience of title and lease reporting is essential
  • Experience of Real Estate Finance would be an advantage but is not a requirement;
  • Experience must have been gained in a reputable City or regional firm
  • The varied work is stimulating and requires a lively, analytical mind and an awareness and understanding of commercial issues;
  • Ability to manage multiple files and meet deadlines whilst maintaining exceptional attention to detail
  • Confident in dealing with high profile and highly valued clients
  • Plenty of initiative
  • Essential that the person is a team player
  • Strong technical and drafting skills
  • Able to be pro-active and “drive” transactions in order to meet tight deadlines.
