SSQ is pleased to partner exclusively with one of the leading Global Infrastructure funds in their search for a deal focused Private Equity / M&A lawyer. If you love doing deals but want to move in-house to an active fund, this is for you!


You will be office based 4 days / week. The legal team in London is small, ensuring maximum responsibility and role variety with a focus on transactional work.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Drafting and reviewing M&A transaction documents, in collaboration with the investment and asset management teams, managing legal workstreams and coordinating with external counsel and assisting with transaction execution.
  • Collaborating with investment and asset management teams on the implementation and ongoing maintenance of management incentive plans.
  • Supporting the asset management team on portfolio company matters, including bolt-on M&A, corporate governance, HR and financing transactions.


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate transactions, cross border M&A and private equity, preferably along with some exposure to finance and capital markets (on either the debt or equity side) gained at a leading global law firm. Applicants with higher PQE are welcome to apply. Some experience of infrastructure transactions is desirable but not essential.
