Are you passionate about automation, DevOps, and making a real impact in how world-class engineering software is built and delivered? We’re looking for a DevOps & Automation Engineer to join our Ansys Granta team—creators of industry-leading materials information management tools including Granta MI, Granta Selector, and Granta EduPack.
You'll be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team that supports the entire software delivery lifecycle—from build automation and CI/CD pipelines to secure development practices and user experience feedback.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain automation tools using Python and PowerShell to support our build and validation workflows.
- Design and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, focusing on speed, security, and reliability.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, QA engineers, and tech writers to deliver high-quality features and releases.
- Use tools like Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes to enhance our delivery pipeline and streamline operations.
- Dive into our products to understand real-world customer use cases and help shape better software.
- Promote secure coding practices, help manage open-source dependencies, and support licensing compliance.
- Suggest ideas for improving UX and usability based on your hands-on experience with the tools.
What We’re Looking For
- A B.Sc. In Engineering, Computer Science, or Technical Communication with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a relevant Master’s degree.
- Solid Python or PowerShell scripting skills.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and GitHub Actions.
- Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.
- Ability to work across multiple priorities in a fast-paced, globally distributed team.
- A passion for quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
⭐ Bonus Points For
- Familiarity with Ansys products or engineering simulation tools.
- Experience with DITA, XML, Git, Camtasia, or oXygen XML Editor.
- Understanding of open-source licensing, code security, and the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).
- Exposure to C# or C++ in a development or DevOps context.
