Rate: £50.00+ per hour (DOE)

Overview:

We are working with a local authority seeking a skilled Housing Disrepair Lawyer. This role involves managing a caseload of disrepair claims, advising departments, and supporting litigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage pre-action and litigated housing disrepair claims from inception to resolution.
• Liaise with surveyors, housing officers, insurers, and external legal representatives.
• Prepare court bundles, witness statements, and legal pleadings.
• Provide legal advice on landlord responsibilities under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and related housing legislation.
• Attend court hearings and settlement meetings as required.

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive.
• Demonstrable experience handling housing disrepair claims.
• Public sector/local government experience preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Weekly office attendance required.
