Job description
Event Production Designer / Part-time contract / Freelance
The Event Production Designer, will work with the creative leadership team and UDS on the defining of the event concept, looking at the overall experience and how different show elements come together with the stage. Will have a key input in the defining the event pre-visualisation around key moments, to inform the event production needs. Will have a key input during the event design phase when we are creating the design intent drawings, making sure that all elements of the show are covered. Post event design phase, we see that the candidate will work on the production of the show and directing of the live show itself.
This work covers 2 stages of the project:
1. Pre-summer sprint: WK23-25, 3days / week.
2. Post-summer event design phase: WK33-36, 2-3days/week.
Skillset/Software/Experience
- Design and technical skills across all stagecraft disciplines (scripting, blocking, video design, set design, automation, LX, audio)
- Focus/background in theatrical video design
- Demonstrable experience in delivering premium live shows for corporate clients
- Experience calling/directing live shows
IMPORTANT:
Allocation:
3days / week
London based preferred
Note that we are looking for this person to initially start for 3 weeks, during the pre-summer sprint. We would then take a break and then start again in WK33 with the core event design and production work.
