Legal Counsel - Project Finance

1-2PQE

London based, hybrid working

Transactional focus

Reporting to General Counsel

Role responsibilities:

To join and be a core member of the legal team, assisting and managing on every day transactional work from engagement letters to corporate authorisations
Manage core transactional work including NDA's, KYCs and general filings.
Manage external consultancy support that provides day-to-day company secretarial and governance services
To support the legal team on legal and regulatory analysis, including new legal developments which may affect the business
To ensure best practice in corporate governance, including recording investment approvals and board reporting on legal matters, maintaining conflicts registers and directorships lists
To oversee legal documentation by managing external law firms as required on more complex matters
To liaise in a proactive, problem solving manner with all areas of the business on legal matters

Experience required:

1-2 PQE solicitor in England & Wales or equivalent jurisdiction.
experience working at a London solicitor
Funds experience desirable
Excellent academic background
Self-starter with excellent presentation skills, in particular written
Judgement to balance commercial and legal risks to achieve proportionate outcomes
