Are you a driven underwriter ready to take ownership of a specialist UK terrorism portfolio?

We’re looking for a Terrorism Underwriter to join a leading global insurer and syndicate, with a focus on managing and growing the UK Delegated Authority (DUA) terrorism book. This is a dynamic underwriting role offering exposure to high-profile brokers, a varied DUA portfolio, and the opportunity to develop deep expertise within a complex and evolving risk class.

You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end underwriting process, from risk analysis and wordings through to endorsements, referrals, and broker engagement — ensuring profitable, compliant, and strategic portfolio growth.

We’re looking for someone with:

✔ Experience underwriting delegated authority or terrorism risks within the London Market

✔ Strong understanding of DUA operations including bordereaux, aggregates, endorsements, and wordings

✔ A confident, commercial approach to broker management and client-facing meetings

✔ Solid working knowledge of pre-bind checks, policy documentation, and compliance controls

✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word (intermediate level or above)

✔ Strong attention to detail, time management, and risk awareness

✔ Cert CII, Dip CII, or ACII (or progress towards qualification) is highly desirable

✔ A collaborative team player with the drive to work independently and take initiative

You’ll be receiving and analysing broker submissions, reviewing wordings, handling referrals, monitoring payments and bordereaux, and attending client presentations — all within a supportive team at the centre of the business’s terrorism strategy.
