Buyer / Senior Buyer

Full-Time | Permanent | Remote (UK-based)


We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Buyer to join a growing supply chain function within a dynamic engineering services business. With a strong pipeline of renewable energy projects, this newly created role will play a key part in supporting procurement operations and supplier performance across the UK and beyond.


The Role:

As Buyer / Senior Buyer, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day purchasing activities, ensuring efficient and cost-effective supply chain processes. Working closely with the Supply Chain Manager and wider business teams, you'll help drive supplier engagement, implement procurement strategies, and support key operational improvements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage purchasing operations and supplier relationships
  • Support procurement strategy rollouts and cost-saving initiatives
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on product specifications and supplier selection
  • Handle post-award activities including expediting and minor dispute resolution
  • Help monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement


What You’ll Need:

  • Previous experience in a buying or procurement role, ideally within the renewables or engineering sectors
  • Strong understanding of P2P processes
  • Confident communicator with excellent supplier management skills
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
