Join Our Team of Expert Employee Relations Specialists

At Mitie, we're expanding our team of talented and solution-focused Employee Relations (ER) specialists. We're committed to building a team of experts dedicated to making Mitie a 'Great Place to Work.' As an ER Advisor, you'll support our managers by advising and coaching them on ER cases, ensuring fair and just policies in line with legislation and best practices, while balancing risk and commerciality to achieve the best results for our business.


About the Role

This hybrid role which requires working in our Birmingham office every Friday, where you'll join our dedicated People Team. We offer flexible working patterns to support your work/life balance.


What You Can Expect

• Ownership of Complex ER Cases: Manage your own caseload of complex ER issues, utilising your expertise in ER and employment law.

• Advanced Technology: Use Mitie's case management system to deliver high-quality service remotely.

• Collaboration: Build relationships with the wider HR team and senior stakeholders across the business.

• Diverse Contracts: Gain exposure to a wide variety of contracts across both public and private sectors.

• Expert Collaboration: Work with our legal team on Early Conciliation and Employment Tribunal claims and collaborate with our Occupational Health providers.

• Policy Improvement: Conduct ER policy and process reviews, make recommendations for improvement, and drive the implementation of enhanced services, policies, and procedures.


What We're Looking For

• Passionate HR/ER professionals with strong knowledge of ER policies and employment laws.

• Ability to manage a varied caseload (up to 60 at any one time)

• Experience in a HR Shared Service Centre environment is desirable.

• True people person, able to drive a positive experience with respect and confidentiality.

• Curious thinker, able to use different approaches to situations.

• Provide accurate ER advice to managers.

• Ideally hold a CIPD qualification at Levels 3, 5, or 7 (support for further studies available).
