Graduate NPD Technologist in Leeds

Job description

Alexander Steele are working with an established multi-site ambient food manufacturer in West Yorkshire who are looking to recruit a Junior NPD Technologist to join their Technical team.

This is a great opportunity for a Graduate targeting the food industry who’s passionate about product development and keen to grow within a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development of new and existing products, ensuring they meet food safety, legal, and quality standards.
• Help prepare accurate launch packs, product specifications, and support documentation for production.
• Carry out internal audits (GMP, hygiene, foreign body control) and support traceability exercises.
• Coordinate product sampling and laboratory testing, reviewing results and escalating non-conformances.
• Support investigations into customer complaints and help identify corrective and preventative actions.
• Conduct packaging checks and swabbing activities in line with site schedules and compliance needs.

On Offer:

• Annual Salary of £25,500
• 33 Days Annual Leave (including bank holidays)
• Monday to Friday – Office Hours
• Pension: 3% employer / 5% employee
