Role Overview

A leading company in the Analytical Services sector is seeking a talented ICP Scientist to join their team in the South West. In this vital role, you will provide technical expertise and support for ICP-OES and ICP-MS analytical products, playing a key part in both internal development and client-facing services. The company offers external training opportunities to support your continued professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

As the ICP Scientist, you will become a subject matter expert in your field. Your responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting of ICP-OES and ICP-MS systems (Agilent platforms).

• Method development and enhancement of existing analytical techniques.

• Instrument maintenance and performance optimisation.

• Technical training delivery to both internal teams and external clients.

Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, your background should include:

• A relevant degree in Chemistry, Analytical Science, or a related field.

• Proven industry experience in analytical method development and validation to meet ISO17025 requirements. In depth knowledge on maintenance and troubleshooting for ICP-OES & ICP-MS.

• Experience of analytical requirements within the food and beverage industry, including both organic and inorganic analysis of contaminants, nutrients, functional components, and allergens.
