Housing Lawyer - Fully Remote Working

This sole Housing Lawyer role gives you just that. You’ll support two modern councils on a broad mix of housing work; from possession proceedings and antisocial behaviour cases to regeneration and right-to-buy. All fully remote, and with the autonomy to make the role your own.

Your Role

• Advise on all aspects of housing law, including landlord/tenant issues and unlawful occupancy

• Handle housing litigation such as evictions, disrepair, and land disputes.

• Draft and review tenancy agreements, lease terms, and housing-related policies.

• Ensure compliance with legal obligations, especially around affordable housing delivery.

• Deliver training and guidance to housing officers and councillors.

• Work in close collaboration with the housing team, becoming a trusted, embedded legal partner.


What We’re Looking For

✔ A qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive

✔ Strong post-qualification experience in housing law, ideally within or for a local authority

✔ Skilled in litigation, negotiation, and drafting

✔ Confident working solo with a proactive, self-led approach

✔ Collaborative mindset and able to embed yourself into a client team
