Scientist – DMPK & Biophysics | Cambridge | Full-time


We’re partnering with an established drug discovery company in Cambridge working at the centre of DMPK (Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics) and biophysical screening. They’re combining cutting-edge non-structural biophysics techniques with a collaborative, data-driven approach to drug discovery.


They’re now looking for a Scientist to join their DMPK & Biophysics team. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience with biophysics techniques, data interpretation, and working within an industrial drug discovery environment.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Planning and running a wide variety of scientific experiments, with full ownership once assigned
  • Analysing and interpreting experimental data, identifying next steps and future study designs
  • Preparing clear, accurate reports and presenting findings to both internal teams and external collaborators
  • Supporting routine data analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous quality control


What they’re looking for:

  • MSc/PhD in a relevant scientific discipline
  • Experience working in an industrial drug discovery or biotech environment
  • Proven ability to analyse, evaluate and draw conclusions from experimental data
  • Practical understanding of DMPK and biophysics techniques (ITC, SPR, etc.)
  • Ideally looking for someone with SPR, Surface Plasma Resinance, running compounds though SPR machine
  • Competent in scientific reporting, literature searches, and electronic data recording
  • Strong attention to detail, effective time management, and clear communication skills
