Trainee Neurodevelopmental Practitioner


  • Location: Hybrid – Deal, Kent


  • Salary: £25,000 per annum (12-month fixed-term contract)


  • Start Date: Monday 1st September (Mandatory) - Please note that mandatory training will take place throughout September. Applicants must be available to start on Monday 1st September to be considered for this role.

At RTN Mental Health Solutions, we’re offering a 12-month, fully structured training programme that equips you with the skills to conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments using gold-standard tools such as ADI-R, ADOS, ACE, and DIVA.

Job Role & Responsibilities


As a Trainee Neurodevelopmental Practitioner, you will:


  • Conduct comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessment interviews, evaluating cognitive, emotional, and behavioural functioning
  • Use standardised diagnostic tools to assess and diagnose ASD and ADHD
  • Prepare detailed clinical reports, documenting findings, assessments, and recommendations
  • Critically analyse clinical data, integrating patient history and observational findings for informed diagnoses
  • Conduct risk assessments, ensuring safeguarding measures are in place for patient well-beingParticipate in multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings, collaborating with professionals to develop patient-centered care plans
  • Maintain high standards of clinical care, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory guidelines
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in assessments


Who We’re Looking For


  • A Psychology graduate (2:1 or above), eager to develop clinical expertise
  • Someone with a keen interest in neurodevelopmental conditionsA detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills
  • A team player who is clinically curious, solutions-focused, and proactive
  • Confident using Microsoft Office or Google Suite, particularly Word and Excel
