A prestigious international law firm is seeking a talented and driven Corporate PE/M&A Associate to join its top-tier Private Equity team in London. The firm is renowned for its global reach, commercial acumen, and consistent involvement in high-profile, complex transactions.


About the Private Equity Practice

The Private Equity team is a global market leader, advising 80% of the largest global private equity funds and over 300 clients worldwide. With over three decades of market leadership, the team is known for its deep bench strength, commercial insight, and seamless cross-border execution. They are trusted advisors on some of the most complex and high-value transactions across all major asset classes.


About the London Team

The London Private Equity team is at the forefront of the European private equity market, regularly advising on landmark deals. The team is led by highly respected partners with extensive experience in domestic and cross-border M&A, growth capital, buyouts, exits, and IPOs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on all aspects of private equity transactions, including leveraged buyouts, growth investments, and exits.
  • Draft and negotiate key transaction documents such as SPAs, shareholder agreements, and investment agreements.
  • Manage due diligence processes and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support clients throughout the full investment lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and senior lawyers on high-profile, cross-border deals.


Candidate Profile

  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent common law jurisdiction).
  • 1–3 years’ post-qualification experience in private equity and/or M&A at a leading law firm.
  • Strong academic background and excellent drafting skills.
  • Commercially astute with a proactive, client-focused approach.
  • Experience working on cross-border transactions is highly desirable.
