Job description

Global Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist

  • Are you passionate about using data and systems to improve health and safety outcomes across a global business?
  • Do you have experience working with EHS software and reporting platforms and want to apply those skills in a company that genuinely values sustainability?
  • Would you thrive in a flexible role that empowers you to work independently, while being part of a supportive, low-ego team driving global change?

If so, this may be the role for you.

A new opportunity has arisen for a Global Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join a division of a FTSE 100 engineering group, delivering cutting-edge technology that supports industrial decarbonisation around the world.

Reporting to the Global Head of Health & Safety, this is a high-impact role for someone who’s excited about supporting global EHS strategy, driving data quality and system improvements, and helping embed safety as a core value across 30+ global sites.

Why this Global EHS Specialist role could be the right next step:

  • The organisation plays a critical role in the energy transition, helping industries move away from fossil fuels through advanced electric heating and thermal technologies.
  • You’ll be joining a FTSE 100 Group with serious investment in sustainability – and a clear long-term commitment to building world-class EHS systems and culture.
  • Strong internal mobility and personal development opportunities across the business and the wider group.
  • You’ll be part of a collaborative, humble and values-led culture, where safety is seen as a shared responsibility and a leadership priority with executive level backing.
  • With a new global EHS platform rollout on the horizon, you'll play a key role in shaping how the new system is implemented and optimised across the business.

The successful Global EHS Specialist will:

  • Bring experience implementing or optimising EHS systems and reporting platforms (such as EcoOnline, Power BI, or Microsoft 365 tools).
  • Be a self-starter with strong data and analytical skills, able to spot trends, anomalies or opportunities and share clear insights with stakeholders.
  • Have a background in EHS, ideally with a focus on health & safety, or from an adjacent area such as sustainability, compliance or operations with the right mindset.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills, comfortable working across functions, cultures and time zones.
  • Be proactive and curious – always looking for ways to improve systems, build engagement, and support the global team.

What you’ll get in return:

  • £55,000 – £65,000 base salary
  • Pension and healthcare package
  • Flexible remote or hybrid working, with occasional travel (up to 10%)
  • Development opportunities across the wider FTSE 100 Group
  • The chance to make a meaningful difference in a purpose-led, growth-focused global organisation
