Job description
About Footballco
Footballco is the world’s largest football content and media business. Reaching more than 400m football fans across the world each month, with thousands of entertaining and inspiring content pieces every single day. With a growing roster of football brands beneath our belts including GOAL, INDIVISA and MUNDIAL, no one else has our reach or depth of understanding within the game.
We are a team of over 300 people, in 16 countries around the world. We’re young, ambitious and we have some serious investment behind us.
About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a budding creative to break into the world of branded content and football culture. Over the course of this 6-month internship, you’ll be embedded in our dynamic creative department, learning how to come up with big, social-first campaign ideas for some of the biggest brands in the world.
You’ll work alongside experienced creatives to help concept and develop branded campaigns that will live across Footballco’s global social channels and beyond. From idea generation and pitch decks to script-writing and overseeing edits, you’ll learn how creative teams bring brand briefs and stories to life in ways that feel right at home in football culture.
We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes social. You understand the ins and outs of every major platform, stay on top of emerging trends, and know what makes people like, comment, or share. You’re also culturally aware, football-obsessed, and full of creative energy. No prior professional experience is needed - just a passion for ideas, a love of storytelling, and a perspective on what makes content feel current, relevant, and worth sharing in the football space.
What you will be doing:
- Support Senior Creatives with brainstorms, research, and ideation for branded content campaigns.
- Assist in developing campaign ideas and content formats tailored for social platforms - especially Instagram, TikTok & YouTube, making the Seniors feel (even) older than they are.
- Help build presentation decks by sourcing imagery, writing copy, and structuring creative ideas clearly.
- Participate in creative meetings and reviews, learning how ideas are shaped, refined, and sold in.
- Learn how to craft ideas that feel culturally relevant and native to the platforms they live on.
- Shadow production stages (where relevant), gaining exposure to how creative concepts come to life.
- Attend Client presentations, occasionally pitching work.
- Contributing on shoots to see the creative process in action (evening or weekend flexibility may be needed)
- Stay plugged into football, pop culture, and social trends to bring fresh insights to creative work.
- Show curiosity, initiative, and enthusiasm as you gain confidence in your creative voice.
What you have:
- A creative mindset and passion for storytelling, especially in social and digital spaces.
- Examples of your creativity (this could be uni work, side projects, TikToks, writing, or anything that shows how you think).
- A strong interest in football culture, and how it connects with music, fashion, gaming, and more.
- A genuine love for social media, with an eye for what makes content shareable, relevant, and platform-native.
- Confidence to contribute ideas and openness to honest feedback.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm to learn from your team and other departments/disciplines. You’re a creative sponge who isn’t afraid to ask questions!
- A can-do attitude and the willingness to support Senior members of staff when called upon.
- Ability to attend our Holborn office at least 3 days a week.
Desirables
- You’re a creative person by trade - and have creative interests/passions outside of the working environment.
- You have experience working with Google Slides and Adobe Creative Suite.
Footballco is a global organisation and as such we are fortunate to have employees across a diverse range of backgrounds. We aim to build an environment that is inclusive to all and where everyone feels empowered to be their authentic self.
