Restructuring Associate (2–4 PQE) – International Law Firm in City of London

Job description

An international law firm is seeking to hire a 2–4 PQE associate to join its London Restructuring team. The team handles a broad mix of restructuring mandates, including cross-border restructuring plans and schemes, insolvency processes, distressed M&A, pensions-related work, and select contentious matters. Associates work closely with senior lawyers on both debtor and creditor-side engagements across a variety of sectors.

The team is led by four experienced partners and operates with a flat, collaborative structure. Juniors are given significant responsibility, regular client contact, and involvement in strategy and business development. Training is a key focus, with structured sessions and mentoring support available throughout.

Applicants should have strong non-contentious restructuring experience and be confident working on cross-border mandates and core insolvency processes. UK qualification is preferred, but the team is open to strong candidates from comparable jurisdictions. The working culture is supportive, with a focus on quality over volume and a 1,700-hour annual target.
