My Edinburgh based philanthropic client are seeking a dynamic and strategic Deputy Head of Product to help shape and drive their product vision. You’ll play a key leadership role, supporting the Head of Product and working closely with cross-functional teams including project management, development, marketing, and customer experience. This is a unique opportunity to lead high-performing teams and influence the direction of digital products as the company scales and evolves.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Product in defining and delivering the product strategy and roadmap aligned with organisational goals.
- Oversee the full product lifecycle—from concept and development through to launch and post-launch optimisation.
- Lead and mentor a growing team of Product Managers, Product Owners, CRO Specialists, and Agile Team Coaches.
- Act as a central point of collaboration between product, technology, marketing, and customer-facing teams.
- Help shape and deliver a roadmap that aligns local product delivery with wider strategic transformation programmes.
- Champion and grow product craft and capability across the organisation.
- Contribute to budget planning, resourcing, and strategic goal-setting for the product function.
- Analyse performance data and user insights to inform prioritisation and continuous improvement.
- Encourage innovation through lab days and hackathons, while supporting a structured, product-led planning process.
- Represent the product function in key internal forums such as design sprints and architecture reviews.
What I'm Looking For
- Significant experience in senior product roles, including managing and scaling product teams in complex environments.
- Proven ability to deliver successful digital products at scale, ideally within international, matrixed organisations.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a passion for developing talent and fostering a culture of experimentation and innovation.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, comfortable operating in a fast-paced, change-driven environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align and engage diverse internal and external audiences.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience collaborating closely with marketing to drive acquisition and retention.
- Data-informed mindset with a deep understanding of product metrics and user feedback loops.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and collaborate with international teams.
