King’s International Observership Programme

at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Bromley—part of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.


This is your chance to gain invaluable insight into the UK healthcare system and observe world-class orthopaedic practice in action.

What You’ll Experience:

- Shadow expert clinicians in real NHS settings

- Observe surgical procedures and multidisciplinary team interactions

- Learn through discussion, feedback, and structured mentorship

Specialist Areas Available:

- Foot & Ankle

- Lower Limb

- Upper Limb

- General Trauma & Orthopaedics

Flexible Duration Options:

- 1 month

- 3 months

- 6 months

Eligibility Criteria:

- Qualified doctor or nurse from outside the UK

- Minimum 12 months post-qualification experience

- Strong English communication skills

- A genuine desire to lead and innovate in orthopaedic care

Important Notes:

- A placement fee applies

- Applicants must be funded by a sponsoring organisation

- All NHS pre-engagement checks must be completed satisfactorily
