Indirect Procurement Specialist (Services)


Location - Birmingham - Hybrid


Salary: Up to £40,000 + Benefits + £6k Car Allowance


About the Role and Business:

This industry-leading manufacturer is seeking a talented Procurement Specialist with expertise in Indirect Procurement categories—including IT, HR, and Factory Services.


In this dynamic role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Engaging and managing supplier relationships
  • Supporting contract negotiations, tenders, and RFIs
  • Driving the implementation of supplier agreements

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Procurement Manager/Head of Procurement in preparing RFIs, RFQs, and ITT documents
  • Source new suppliers and materials to support business growth and innovation
  • Negotiate and implement supplier agreements, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality standards
  • Lead and support tendering processes across key spend areas
  • Contribute to the development and execution of category plans


About You

You’ll bring demonstrable experience in procurement, ideally with a focus on supplier selection, contract negotiation, and tender management. You're ambitious, eager to learn, and thrive in a collaborative environment. Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a Procurement role—whether as a Specialist, Coordinator, Assistant, or similar
  • Supplier negotiation and Tendering is essential
  • Working knowledge of Indirect Procurement, including contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and tendering processes
  • Comfortable with supplier-facing responsibilities, including visits and ongoing relationship development
  • MCIPS qualification (or working towards) is a plus, but not essential
