Are you currently seeking a new interim opportunity?

A reputable Aerospace organisation are urgently seeking an experienced Buyer to join their team in Wimborne on an initial 6 month contract.

This role requires someone with a solid background in aerospace or defence procurement, particularly with Export Control/ITAR awareness.

• Role: Buyer
• Duration: 6 months
• Location: Wimborne
• Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days onsite

The successful candidate will support the supply chain function in Wimborne by managing purchasing activities, ensuring timely delivery, compliance, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for assigned categories and components
• Raise and manage purchase orders, RFQs, and supplier schedules
• Ensure compliance with ITAR, Export Control, and company quality procedures
• Liaise with suppliers to monitor performance, lead times, and resolve any supply issues

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience within aerospace and defence environments
• Strong understanding of ITAR/Export Control regulations
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and communication skills
