Job Title: Freelance Building Surveyor – PFI Lifecycle Condition SurveysLocation: Manchester
Contract Length: 2 months
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: Competitive day rate (DOE)
We’re currently seeking an experienced Freelance Building Surveyor to support a PFI Lifecycle condition survey programme across a healthcare estate in Manchester.
Role Overview: As part of a specialist surveying team, you will be responsible for carrying out detailed Lifecycle condition surveys in line with PFI contractual requirements. Your findings will support long-term asset management planning for a live healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake condition surveys of healthcare buildings and infrastructure
- Identify lifecycle maintenance requirements in accordance with PFI specifications
- Accurately record condition data using pre-defined templates and systems
- Liaise with on-site teams to ensure minimal disruption to healthcare services
- Work independently to tight timescales while maintaining quality standards
- Proven experience in conducting building condition surveys
- Prior exposure to PFI contracts and healthcare estates is essential
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. RICS, CIOB, or equivalent experience)
- Strong reporting skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and manage survey workloads efficiently
