Structured Finance Lawyer - EMEA

Global Financial Services Group

London based role (hybrid working)


A global financial services group is seeking a Structured Finance/Lending Lawyer to join its Global Markets legal team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with front office teams on a diverse range of structured funding transactions, including infrastructure, ABS/real estate, trade finance, and private credit.


You’ll join a collaborative, trading floor-based legal team supporting a variety of product lines, including Securitised Products, Structured Lending, and other solutions businesses. The role involves advising on structuring, negotiation, documentation, and execution of transactions, as well as supporting on legal and regulatory matters impacting the business.


Note: You do not need to have experience across all asset classes listed – the team is open to candidates with a solid grounding in structured finance, who are keen to broaden their exposure.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Legal support for structured lending and securitised product transactions
  • Draft and negotiate LMA-style documentation, security arrangements, intercreditor terms, etc.
  • Partner with front office, risk, and compliance teams on legal and regulatory matters
  • Stay current on evolving regulatory issues impacting the financing space


Key Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 3+ years’ PQE in structured/loans finance
  • Experience in law firm or in-house legal roles
  • Strong working knowledge of LMA documentation and related financing structures
  • Familiarity with note, ISDA, and repo documentation is a plus
  • Excellent communication, commercial awareness, and team collaboration skills
