TEKsystems is looking for an AWS Tech Lead in England

Job description

The AWS Tech Lead will have a strong background in cloud computing, specifically with

Amazon Web Services (AWS) and will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of

our AWS projects. The AWS Tech Lead will work closely with development and operations

teams to ensure the successful delivery of cloud-based solutions.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient cloud solutions that meet business requirements.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of AWS infrastructure.

• Collaborate with cross function teams to define cloud architecture and

infrastructure requirements.

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration

of cloud solutions.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.

Monitor and optimize the performance, security, and cost of AWS services.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS technologies and best practices.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AWS infrastructure.

• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.

• Develop and maintain documentation for AWS architecture and processes.


Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud computing, with a 5+ years of proven

experience in AWS.

• Strong understanding of AWS services – Compute, Networking, Storage, Database,

Microservices, DevOps etc

• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or

CloudFormation.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.


Core Skill

• Compute: EC2, Lambda, Auto Scaling, Load Balancing

• Storage: S3, EBS, EFS

• Networking: VPC, Route 53, CloudFront, API Gateway

• Databases: RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora

• Security & Monitoring: IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, KMS

• DevOps & Automation: CloudFormation, Code Pipeline, Elastic Beanstalk

• Other Essentials: AWS CLI, Cost Management, Well-Architected Framework

Additional Skill

• Hands On experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and

Kubernetes.

• Hands on experience of DevOps, CI/CD pipeline practices and tools (Terraform,

Packer, Git, GitHub, Gitlab, Jira & Confluence)

• Experience working on Migration/Modernization projects.

• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.

• Experience with multi-cloud environments.

• Exposure to AI/ML and Generative AI/Amazon Bedrock
