Role Overview:


The position of Kitchen Assistant supports the Head Chef in the delivery of our onsite food preparation and food service to our onsite clients Monday to Friday. This is a dynamic and fundamental role for the smooth running of our kitchen. We prepare lunch, dinner and two snacks per day.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:


The Kitchen Assistant will provide daily support to the Head Chef and the wider team with:


  • Basic meal preparation.
  • Unloading and storage of food and beverage deliveries.
  • General cleaning of the kitchen and dining area, including dishes, cutlery, work surfaces, fridge/freezer ect.
  • Serving of food as required.
  • Help the head chef and the rest of the kitchen team to run the service smoothly and efficiently.


Desired skills and expertise:


  • Level 1 Food Hygiene and COSHH certificates (training can be provided if required).
  • An interest in food / catering preparation preferable.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Keen to work within a team environment.
  • Has high level of physical stamina and ability to work consistently in a busy kitchen environment.


In addition, any ad hoc requirements required within the postholders skill set to support Orri may be required.
