Public Sector | Birmingham (Hybrid – 2/3 Days WFH)

A forward-thinking public sector procurement organisation is seeking a motivated Procurement Specialist to join its dynamic and growing Purchased Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with indirect procurement experience to make a genuine impact across critical public sector projects — while developing their career in an organisation that values progression, flexibility, and purpose.
Working across a broad portfolio of indirect categories – including Professional Services, FM, Estates, Marketing, Consultancy, HR, and Technology – you’ll take ownership of full sourcing lifecycles, collaborate with a range of suppliers and internal stakeholders, and help shape value-driven, compliant procurement strategies that support the health and public sectors.

Procurement Specialist – Indirect Categories, What they’re looking for:
- End-to-end strategic procurement experience, ideally within indirect categories (public sector experience is desirable but not essential)
- Strong understanding of strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management
- Familiarity with public sector procurement regulations (PCR 2015 / Procurement Act 2023) is a plus
- Excellent stakeholder and project management skills
- An analytical, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Interest or experience in supporting procurement across IT/Digital, FM, Estates, or Professional Services categories
