Are you a seasoned Employment Lawyer looking to take the next step in your career within a forward-thinking and commercially driven law firm? A well-established corporate firm in the Bedfordshire area, is seeking a Senior Employment Lawyer (3+ PQE) to join their expanding employment team.

The Role

You will play a key role in delivering strategic employment law advice to corporate clients, including HR leaders, in-house legal teams, and business executives. The caseload will be diverse, covering both contentious and non-contentious matters with a focus on supporting commercial and corporate transactions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising employers on complex employment law matters including unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancies, TUPE, and restructuring.
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and handbooks in line with evolving legislation.
  • Providing day-to-day strategic HR and employment law guidance to a diverse range of corporate clients.
  • Working closely with the corporate team on transactional matters involving employment due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and trainees, supporting their development and ensuring high-quality client service.
  • Playing a key role in business development and the continued growth of the firm’s employment practice.


For you:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in employment law.
  • Strong experience advising employers in the corporate or commercial sectors.
  • A solid track record of managing both contentious and non-contentious matters.
  • Commercial awareness, business development acumen, and a genuine interest in developing client relationships.
  • Ambition and leadership potential, with a desire to work towards partnership.
