Assistant Legal Counsel - Regulatory:

We have partnered with a leading Japanese bank who are seeking a Regulatory Assistant Legal Counsel to support their legal team on an interim basis, for a period of 12 months.

This position requires a candidate to support the organisations strategy in the EMEA region by providing the provision of advice on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice in relation to a broad range of regulatory matters including MIFID, EMIR, GDPR, cross border licensing, competition, investigations/dawn raids and litigation
• Assist to investigate any identified potential or actual breach of relevant rules and regulations and advise on the legal implications
• Support the Bank in EMEA on projects which have regulatory issues

Key Details:

• Start Date: ASAP start
• Contract Length: Maternity cover to run until the end of July 2026
• Location: Hybrid working, London-based
