Overview
Our client, a leading US law firm with a strong presence in London, is seeking a talented and driven Capital Markets Associate to join its busy and growing team. This is an outstanding opportunity to work on high-profile cross-border transactions with an international client base, alongside market-leading partners.
Key Responsibilities
Advise issuers, underwriters and sponsors on a broad range of capital markets transactions, including:
- Debt and equity offerings
- IPOs and secondary offerings
- High-yield bond offerings and investment grade debt
- Private placements and liability management transactions
- Draft and negotiate transaction documents such as offering memoranda, underwriting agreements, indentures and related ancillary documentation.
- Manage multi-jurisdictional deal processes and coordinate with local counsel.
- Assist with securities law compliance, ongoing disclosure obligations and corporate governance matters.
- Support business development initiatives, client pitches and thought leadership.
Candidate Profile
- Qualified with 2-6 years’ post-qualification experience at a top-tier international or US firm.
- Strong experience across capital markets transactions (debt, equity or both). High-yield experience would be highly regarded.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines, often across time zones.
- Commercial mindset and willingness to take ownership and build client relationships.
- Enthusiastic team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
