Hiring: Chartered Senior Building Surveyor – South West England (Flexible Location)


I'm working with a leading property and construction consultancy looking to appoint a Chartered Senior Building Surveyor to support continued growth across the South West region. If you’re looking to take the lead on high-profile projects and mentor junior surveyors while working in a collaborative, ambitious environment — this could be your next move.


This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established and well-respected team delivering a mix of professional and project-led surveying services across a variety of sectors including commercial, education, heritage, and public sector. The role offers flexibility on location and strong support for long-term career development.


Your Role Will Include:

  • Leading and delivering project and professional building surveying services, including technical due diligence, dilapidations, contract administration, and refurbishment schemes
  • Acting as a key client contact – building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Managing and mentoring junior surveyors and APC candidates
  • Supporting business development and contributing to regional growth plans
  • Working on a broad portfolio of assets and delivering high-quality advice with minimal supervision
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on complex schemes


What We’re Looking For:

  • MRICS qualified (essential)
  • Strong technical knowledge with experience in both professional services and project work
  • Proven ability to manage clients and deliver multiple concurrent projects
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A self-starter with commercial awareness and a collaborative mindset
  • Full UK driving licence
