Motion Designer in London

Delta Plus is looking for an Motion Designer in London

Job description

Responsibilities

  • Kick‑off every assignment with a complete “input kit” from Delta Plus—we choose the topic/theme and supply:

- the final voice‑over track (audio),

- the verbatim captions/script, and

- initial scene or visual‑metaphor suggestions—so you can concentrate on storytelling, motion, and polish.

  • Own end‑to‑end production of short educational explainers (≈ 30–45 seconds) covering Economics, Finance, Blockchain and Trading concepts, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Deliver on a disciplined cadence: ~20 finished videos per month, including up to five “urgent” pieces turned around within 16–24 hours.
  • Transform the supplied scripts, voice‑overs and design notes into clear storyboards and polished motion graphics that make complex ideas intuitive for a broad audience.
  • Incorporate feedback quickly and efficiently (one full revision plus a follow‑up pass) while maintaining schedule commitments.
  • Safeguard visual and technical quality—all outputs must meet the Delta Plus style guide and pass internal review on first submission whenever possible.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with founders, analysts and marketing, joining at least two remote check‑ins per week.
  • Manage project files and assets in the company’s cloud workspace, keeping everything impeccably organised for future edits or localisation.
  • Experiment, innovate and document new animation techniques or reusable templates that raise the bar for fintech storytelling.
  • Act as an early creative partner—help shape Delta Plus’s video strategy and culture while earning meaningful equity alongside cash compensation.
Qualifications
  • Proven motion‑design portfolio (3 + years professional experience) featuring short‑form explainers that translate data‑heavy topics into accessible visuals.
  • Mastery of Adobe After Effects (expressions a plus), Illustrator and Photoshop; working knowledge of Figma and Premiere Pro.
  • Strong command of typography, layout, timing and visual storytelling across multiple aspect‑ratios (16:9, square, vertical).
  • Domain fluency—or fast‑learning ability—in macro‑economics, equities, options and blockchain/crypto markets.
  • Comfort with high‑velocity production cycles and occasional “overnight” turnarounds while juggling simultaneous projects.
  • Excellent communication and remote‑first collaboration skills; you translate strategic feedback into actionable design changes without hand‑holding.
  • Understanding of video‑compression standards and delivery best practices for web, social and in‑app playback.
  • Nice to have: 3D (Cinema 4D, Blender), data‑driven or generative animation, UI motion, or previous fintech/ed‑tech experience.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset—excited by the upside of an equity‑heavy, partner‑track role in a fast‑growing fintech startup.
