Data Scientist - Catastrophe Modelling

London | 3 days in office | Up to £80,000 + 50% equity

Join an established and mission-driven climate risk company - this business builds cutting-edge models to quantify the risk and financial impact of climate change.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Join an exciting small-to-mid sized company working across climate risk
• Core focus on hazard and catastrophe risk modelling - with elements of geospatial data
• Risk modelling / financial modelling - specifically within the climate change space
• Model risk associated with climate change - a worthy cause!

REQUIRED:

• Strong coding skills in Python or R
• Experience working with hazard/catastrophe modelling AND/OR risk and finance modelling within the climate change area
• Experience working with large datasets and geospatial data preferred
• Solid academic background (MSc or PhD) in STEM/relevant subject
